Questions and Answers About St. Anne's

How do I join St. Anne's?

Newcomers, visitors and prospective members may want to become a member of St. Anne's.  There are many paths to membership.

Baptism

Any person already baptized can be registered as a baptized member of our parish.  If you have not been baptized and wish to be, please contact one of the clergy for information or call the church office and talk to the Rector's assistant.

Confirmation, Reception, Reaffirmation

All members of the church baptized as infants are encouraged to affirm their faith as adults through the Rite of Confirmation by the Bishop.  In addition, those who have made a public affirmation of the Christian faith may be received into the Episcopal Church by the Bishop.  Those who have been baptized and confirmed in the Episcopal Church and wish to recommit themselves to the life of faith may choose to reaffirm their baptismal covenant with the Bishop.  Inquirer's Class are held once a year, and prepare candidates for confirmation, reception and reaffirmation.  Attendance at the Inquirer's Class is required for those preparing for these rites.

Transferring Membership

If you are a member of another Episcopal Church, please fill out the visitor registry link above, or contact the church office 404.237.5589, or e-mail mailto:abest@saintannes.com to request your Letter of Transfer from your previous church.

If you are a member of another denomination, please contact one of our clergy for information on our next Inquirer's Class.

What is the Prayer List and how do I add a name to the list?

The Prayer List is comprised of names of individuals for whom prayers have been requested.  It is included in the Prayers of the People in our Sunday and Wednesday services. Names may be added to this list by calling the Church Office.  In addition, members of the congregation may add names aloud at the appointed place in the Prayers of the People.
